On behalf of the over 100 Islanders with MS and their families and friends, we’d like to thank the several hundred people who walked, volunteered, and made donations to the 2015 National MS Society Walk MS.
With this year’s $80,500, the Bainbridge Island walk has raised $760,000 since 2007 for MS research and services. This year for the first time, participants received Farmer’s Market bucks and 362 orange wristbands for discounts at 72 local businesses. What a generous place we live in!
Many thanks to Inside Bainbridge for being such a supportive media sponsor, pioneer chapter sponsor Virginia Mason Bainbridge, and our long-time community sponsors Ihland Garden Dental Care, Island Fitness, Town & Country Markets, Dr. Lucia Vracin, and New Motion Physical Therapy. Thanks also to our many in-kind sponsors, including the Bainbridge Downtown Association, Starbucks, BonBon, Columbia Bank, COBI Staff, BI Zero Waste, BI Amateur Radio, Rotary Club, Integrated Wellness Center, Pretty Stick, Soup’r Burger, Safeway, Bainbridge High School, the HEP Replacements, BHS Band, and Pane d’Amore.
And a special thank you to the sun for ignoring the forecast.
We look forward to our tenth annual walk next April!
—Mike and Trude Lisagor
